Placid Art is an Atmospheric Doom/Death Metal band from Podgorica, Montenegro (former Yugoslavia) which originated in 2010. The name of the band represents a metaphor considering the sound of its music. Literally the meaning of its name would be "the art of not-being-disturbed". That is, exactly where the irony lies: the music of this band cannot be described as peaceful and calm, at all. On the contrary, certain sequences are made with a goal to cause a disturbing state of mind. But, after all, to live in a modern society and follow the speed of time passing nowadays is an irony of survival, isn't that right? The first album "Rainbow Destruction Process" came out in 2012 under TPG records from Detroit, Michigan and picked up a majority of good critics and comments worldwide. It contains 9 distinct, yet powerful tracks which describe the living "In The Silence... Of The Dark Dawn" torn apart by "Wrath of the Sun". Originally, Placid Art started as a two-piece band (with Nikola Radovic, guitar & vocals and Sonja Milicevic, vocals) and in 2012, it was joined by Natasa Milicevic on keyboards. Currently, the band is working on their second album.
